I am the eLearning consultant for Western Metro Region and have been in this role since 2000. I run a variety of eLearning related programs and groups for teachers. This year I received a UNESCO commendation for Leadership in eLearning for the Re@ct Film Project and the VITTA Fellowship to research the role ICT plays in School Improvement. In 2005 I was the ICTEV Leader of the Year.
I see we have a few international participants - that is exciting! I live in Western Australia unlike many WA teachers have only taught in Perth. I travelled before having kids and taught Science in the docklands in London. After kids I became a specialist teacher for children with learning difficulties. This was very interesting and rewarding work. Most recently I have moved into online learning.
I have three children, two dogs and one cat and work fulltime - yes I love to be busy!
I'm enjoying my new role as a teacher librarian, having taught English, German and French in secondary schools in Victoria and New South Wales. I'm part of a team that is going to participate in the Powerful Learning Practice program run by Sheryl Nussbaum and Will Richardson, and we're all looking forward to it. I'm learning about new technologies and how to use them to engage kids and prepare them for their future. I'm passionate about inspiring young people to follow their passions and talents.

Hi everyone,
I am a classroom primary school teacher on the Mornington Peninsula and I am doing TPL. My TPL focus is improving ICT teaching in the classrooms at my school and I'm interested in how to 'best' use Web 2.0 in our school and bring other teachers on board. There is just so much available; we need to keep it manageable.
