I'm a big fan of Google docs. Students love collaborating online.

As an educator I have a few favourites. Firstly, I love blogs as they provide an opportunity to reflect and start a conversation that is relevant and purposeful. I have my own blog and have been able to share some of my discoveries and wonderings about learning and teaching, with a particular reference to ICT. I have also read many other people's blogs and have commented on their posts.
There are many wonderful educators who are now starting to incorporate blogs into their teaching and learning with amazing success.

You can see my blog here - More than just knowing stuff! and read about the other tools I like.

Google as a tool for research is excellent. Teaching discernment in its use is fundamental.

As a LOTE teacher I like to go to authentic, live resources such as daily newspapers eg

Most students ( if not all ) love games. There are plenty online but I've found Memory Games or Concentration games to be successful in teaching and revising vocabulary from a LOTE perspective.

The following site is an example

I think The Learning Objects on the DEECD website are powerful tools. Certainly instructive and fun for the students to use.
Here's a French example...you can count on it being a good one

Podcasts have become an integral part of my teaching. Simply by logging into itunes, I have found a huge array of free podcasts from around the world for use in all subject areas. Particularly powerful for use as a class focus using the IWB, they are equally useful for use by individual or student pairs. Podcasts are important to me as I believe that we need to move our focus to look at other forms of media as teaching tools, not 'just' print!

Wiki answers has become a valuable research tool for my students.

Thanks Shannon. I think podcasts are great way to engage and promote thinking about topics. It is great to see teachers and students sharing their learning through podcasts.

i introduced my kids to www.wordle.net last term. they used it successfully as part of a 'live' oral language presentation in our grade 4 classroom.

That sounds really interesting. Are you able to upload some of the jpgs of their wordles on your page? It would be great for others to see what they are.

Working on uploading the wordles - and describing the activity. Taking time as i am setting up new blog. also, ultra-useful tool for me for 5 years: www.think.com Been fantastic for kids to communicate and collaborate n not rejected by school network/decision makers like other online tools.
